Will the gift I order arrive in time?
Most stores are still open for online orders or curbside pickup so don't worry that you won't be able to complete your Holiday shopping this year. Make sure to check the FAQ and banners at the website you're considering completing your checkout to ensure that they are still shipping. However, even if the store is still shipping as normal, make sure to calculate delays from shipping carriers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS and USPS as they will be experiencing higher demands than ever before this season.
Our recommendation is to add an additional 10 business days to be on the safe side of the expected delays. Pit Barrel® Cooker is shipping within 24 business hours but do expected the shipping carriers to experience delays as we approach Christmas. Consider ordering Holiday gifts today but ship to a friend or neighbor so the surprise won't be ruined.
Safest ways to complete Holiday Shopping?
1. Order Online
To minimize risk of being exposed to other's germs and illness, complete all your shopping online instead. Most, if not all, stores has adjusted to accommodating the demands of the "new normal" such as offering new online sales channels or improving already existing ones. At Pit Barrel® Cooker Co. we are offering free shipping on all orders over $49.99 in continental U.S. (excluding HI and AK) to ensure that you can safely shop at home without paying a premium for delivery. If you live with the recipient of the gift, consider shipping to a friend or neighbor to store in their garage until the special day.
2. Ship Directly to Recipient
We love this option. Sending gifts purchased online directly to the recipient saves time and money. No need to wait for the package to arrive at your house, then wrap and then deliver. At Pit Barrel® Cooker Co., if you wish to have an item shipped directly to the gift recipient, you can enter the recipient's mailing address during checkout. It's that simple. We will still provide excellent customer service for you and the recipient at any time without any worries.
3. Curbside Pickup
If you're buying last minute from a company that isn't able to accommodate expected delivery by the special day, consider checking if they have a curbside pickup option for your convenience. This option will still minimize your exposure but ensuring that you'll finish Holiday shopping just in time.

Not only is 2020 is tough time for many small businesses, it's also a trying time for the local economy. All orders ship within one business day from Louisville, KY via Fed Ex or the United States Postal Service. Most ground transit is normally between 1 and 4 days, depending on the destination. However, due to COVID-19 we highly recommend you order as early as possible due to shipping carrier delays. Consider shipping to a friend or neighbor if it is a gift as it cannot be hidden at delivery.
