"I first read about the Pit Barrel Cooker on the Patio Dadio blog. It looked interesting, but I wasn’t sure I needed another “grill”. Then Smokeasaurus (on the Let’s Talk Barbecue Forum) started talking about it. He talked about the ease of use and great flavor. Well, I’ve always loved food cooked over charcoal, but found myself using propane for convenience. The PBC sounded like the best of both worlds – great charcoal fire flavor with a set it and walk away ease. My first cook was a chicken – prepared just like Noah describes in the video, and it was delicious. Next was a pork shoulder – made some pulled pork that my daughter’s boyfriend keeps asking for. Since then I’ve done ribs, fish, prime rib, and more. Everything has been good – but I find myself making chickens and pulled pork over and over – they are that good! I can sauce each chicken half differently or leave ‘em naked and please everyone – and it is so easy. "This cooker has to be the best thing to happen to BBQ in a long time, the ease of preparing the cooker to the ease of hanging a brisket can't get any better. Amber and Noah are true to their statement of being there for you with any questions you may have. My first cook was a split chicken which took just 2 hours to finish and my second cook was a 7lb brisket flat which took just 3.5 hrs to finish, both were juicy and I used the all purpose for the chicken and the beef and game seasoning for the brisket. "If you are looking for a cooker that you have to constantly tweak the vents and add coals to, well this cooker is not for you. If you are looking for a charcoal cooker that is set it and forget it then this is the cooker for you! This is a great product that is affordable and holds more grub in a small space than some giant 400 lb. smoker. I have had a drum smoker before that was a low and slow style smoker. The PBC is a power cooker! Your food is finished quickly and cooked perfectly. "Hands down! My PBC is the best culinary product I have purchased in years! I was considering egg cookers and brand name smokers before I was introduced to a PBC by my neighbor. For the price, ease of use, and cooking experience this is the best product on the market. It also isn't an ugly lawn dwarf like other cookers.
