This yellow rice recipe makes for a super easy side dish to blend with any and all of your favorite meat dishes! Pairs perfectly with our other recipe Tandoori Chicken Kebabs.

Ingredients
2 cups long-grain rice
4 tbsp butter
1 clove minced garlic
2 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp ground turmeric
4 cups chicken broth
½ cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tbsp cilantro (optional)
Directions
Light Pit Barrel® according to instructions.
Heat butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add the rice and gently until rice begins to lightly brown. Add all spices and stir well until well mixed in.
Slowly stir in water and chicken broth and bring to a boil. After 5 min of boiling transfer to into an oven safe cooking dish and place in Pit Barrel® for 30 min until the rice have absorbed all the liquid and is done. Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Drizzle with cilantro If desired.
