Tried my new 18” Weber Smokey Mountain hanging system with a fairly big turkey, it was a close fit getting through the top ring, but the turkey was well over 20lbs. Don’t recommend that big of a turkey, but it came out amazing nonetheless. Definitely happy with my purchase

Having a WSM I wanted to try to smoke like the Pit Barrel method without having to purchase a new smoker. I ordered the hanging system for my 18" WSM to cook our Thanksgiving bird. Installation was a little hard to understand but I accomplished this in about 20 minutes. I must say this method is AWESOME!!! The juices hitting the hot coals and wood chucks created an outstanding smoked turkey. I could have run the temp a bit lower but all in all for the first time, I was very pleased. I suppose the real Pit Barrel smoker is in my future. The hanging system is well made and should last for many smokes.
