One of the best parts of the Pit Barrel® Cooker is the incredible volume. Take advantage of every inch of that capacity by hanging and grilling at the same time. One side is closed like a traditional grilling grate, great for grilling burgers, seafood. and steaks. The other side is open, allowing you to hang your favorite cuts of meat(s)such as ribs, pork butt, or vegetables using the 3-Hanger Value Pack or Skewer Value Pack. Utilize all the accessories simultaneously! 

Using one side for grilling and the other side hanging gives you the best of both worlds.  

Diameter:
The 18.5" Pit Barrel Cooker Grate diameter measures 17.5″
The 14" Pit Barrel Junior Hinged Grate diameter measures 13"
The 22.5" PBX Hinged Grate diameter measures 21.74" 

The Hinged Grill Grates are made of heavy-duty chrome plated iron wire.

    Time for a new grate

    I'd used my other two grates so much they were worn out. It was time for some fresh steel in the barrel.

    Best mother's day meal.

    Works great! I cooked salmon on a cedar plank and hung corn on the cob on the open side.

    Great product!

    We love this hinged grill grate. We used it the very first time we smoked on the PBC, and it did an outstanding job. We cooked the T-bone on the grill grate and hung a sirloin roast on the other side, and they both came out delicious!

    I should have bought this smoker sooner.

    I purchased this smoker for my husband as a gift. After listening to him ramble on about several different smokers and the pros and cons (I was half listening) I decided to just purchase this smoker because I didn't think he would "pull the trigger". Quick shipping and delivery. We (I shouldn't take any credit but I bought the thing) used it as soon as we got it but making some pork belly burnt ends and brisket. Which were fantastic, by the way. We are always finding wonderful recipes and new things to try from the pit barrel online Facebook community groups /YouTube videos. The only con is I will have the meat sweats just about every weekend and may gain some weight but hey life is short. You may even make new friends in your neighborhood that are attracted to the smell. Hopefully ones who can bring side dishes (or beer). My advices is if you enjoy tasty food then buy the smoker it's worth it.
