Enjoy amazing Polish Dogs cooked on the Pit Barrel Cooker using our brat hanger!
Ingredients
1 package polish dogs (or hot dogs)
romaine lettuce boats
pretzel buns
1 white onion, chopped
1 bell pepper
1 jalapeño
1.5 oz of tequila
1 lime
salt and pepper to taste
honey BBQ sriracha
condiments of your choosing
saurkraut (optional)
Directions
Polish Dog Prep
Light your Pit Barrel® according to lighting instructions
Load polish dogs into the Pit Barrel® Sausage, Hot Dog and Brat Hanger and hang in Pit Barrel® Cooker. Smoke until the polish dogs begin to char. Remove from Pit Barrel® Cooker.
Onions, Peppers, Jalapeño Prep
Slice an onion, bell pepper and Jalapeño and place in a bowl
Add 1.5 oz of your preferred tequila to the veggies
Squeeze lime juice into the veggies.
Add Salt and Pepper to taste
Grill veggies in a pan or on griddle (for extra flavor grill over the Pit Barrel® in a cast iron pan)
Polish Dog Assembly
Pretzel Bun
Butter pretzel bun and toast in a pan or on a griddle
Lay down cooked veggie mix on the cooked pretzel bun
Add Polish Dog
Top with Honey Sriracha bbq sauce and mustard
Lettuce Wrap
Place a leaf of romaine lettuce on a plate
Add a layer of veggie mix on the lettuce boat
Add a few spoonfuls of Sauerkraut
Lay down Polish Dog and top with Honey Sriracha bbq sauce
